The a²om BTEC is founded on a simple but compelling goal: to teach people to be safe drivers for life, and thus save young lives.

Driving statistics tell us that 17-24 year old drivers are seriously over represented in accidents that have caused death and serious injury.

The a²om BTEC in Driving Science provides a comprehensive novice driver programme, which results in a more-fully informed driver with a full appreciation of the factors that influence safety.

The BTEC is delivered through practical driving lessons, but the e-learning suite can be accessed in the classroom in conjunction with PHSE/general studies courses.

Accredited by EdExcel and equivalent to a GCSE Level, the a²om BTEC in Driving Science is the world's first academic qualification in novice driver training and your chance to be a pioneer in revolutionising young driver training. With 1 in 5 novice drivers having an accident in their first year of driving, a 21st century curriculum isn't complete without some sort of driver education. The a²om BTEC is done in-car and in the classroom. It follows the a²om driving curriculum, encompassing the European Goals for Driving Education, which is the most thorough novice driver programme in the UK.
